Лицей был основан в 1994 году как филиал негосударственного образовательного учреждения «Межотраслевой технологический институт» (НОУ МТИ). Целью Лицея-интерната является безвозмездная образовательная поддержка сирот и детей из социально незащищенных групп населения, а именно:
- детей – сирот, находящихся под опекой физических лиц (родственников);
- детей из многодетных семей, где воспитанием занимается один родитель.
Кроме того, с первого дня лицея в нем воспитываются дети пограничников, чьи родители служат в зонах «локальных военных конфликтов» (Таджикистан, республики Кавказа и т.д.), а также дети, пережившие ужасы террористических актов (Каспийск, Норд-Ост, Беслан).
На сегодняшний день в лицее воспитывается 150 детей из различных регионов России - Самарской, Тюменской, Томской, Иркутской, Московской областей, Красноярского края и т.д.
В лицее созданы уникальные не только для России условия обучения, воспитания и проживания воспитанников, позволяющие детям получить конкурентно способный уровень образования и по окончанию лицея продолжить свое обучение в высших учебных заведениях. А самое главное – вырасти достойными гражданами новой России.

В лицее дети окружены теплом и заботой. Здесь нет насилия над личностью, каждый из них защищен от произвола, каждому предоставлено право выбора учебных и дополнительных программ, темпа и уровня обучения. Здесь учат соревноваться с самим собой, преодолевать трудности, исправлять ошибки (в лицее не используются отрицательные оценки), вести исследовательскую и творческую деятельность. В 2005 году из 31 выпускника, 2 получили золотые, а 5 – серебряные медали. Процент поступления в ВУЗы составил 100%. В 2006 году из 30 выпускников, 1 получил золотую, а 4 – серебряные медали. На данный момент из выпуска 2006 г. в ВУЗы поступило 27 человек.

Неоднократные проверки Лицея, в том числе и со стороны иностранных организаций, также подтверждают исключительно высокий уровень образования, воспитания и проживания детей, а также надлежащее расходование средств, выделяемых в качестве благотворительной помощи.

Dear Sirs!

We would like to offer you to support the activities of Podmoskovny Lyceum-Boarding School located at: Korallovo village, Ershovsky rural district, Odintsovsky district, Moscow region, Russia.

The Lyceum was founded in 1994 as an affiliate of “Cross Industrial Institute of Technologies” Non-Governmental Educational Institution. The purpose of the Lyceum is gratis educational support of orphans and children from socially unprotected families, i.e.:
orphans being under care of individual guardians (relatives);
children from families where only one parent takes care of large number of children.
Apart from this from the first day of the Lyceum it accommodates the children of Russian frontier guards whose parents serve in “local war conflict” zones (Tadzhikistan, Caucasian republics and others) as well as the children who went through the horror of terrorists’ attacks (Kaspiysk, Nord-Ost, Beslan).
There are about 150 children from different parts of Russia such as Samara, Tyumen, Tomsk, Irkutsk, Moscow, Krasnoyarsk and other regions being brought up in the Lyceum at present.
There were special conditions of education, upbringing and living unique even not only in Russia created in the Lyceum that let children gain extremely high level of education and continue their study in colleges. But what is more important they let children become worthy citizens of new Russia.
The children in the Lyceum are surrounded with warmth and care. There is no any constraint over the personality; every child is protected from arbitrariness; everyone has a right to choose from the educational programs, extracurricular activities, tempo and level of study. Here we teach to compete with oneself, overcome the difficulties, correct one’s own mistakes (the Lyceum does not apply the system of negative grades), be engaged into research and creative activity. In 2005 out of 31 graduates 2 received a golden medal and 5 received silver medal (gold is given for all “excellent” final marks and silver for one “good” final mark throughout the whole study in school). Percentage of admission to colleges amounted to 100%. In 2006 out of 30 graduates 1 received a golden medal and 4 received silver medal. As at present 27 graduates of 2006 were admitted to colleges.

Repeated reviews of the Lyceum including the ones performed by the foreign organizations also confirm exceptionally high level of education, upbringing and living of children as well as due spending of funds granted to it as a charity.
